THE DOMINION MANDATE OF CREATION!

The Foundation And Blueprint Of Kingdom Sonship

We were created to live and operate in absolute authority in the earth realm. Genesis 1:26-28,(26) “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. (27) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (28) And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”

Now notice God had a discussion with Himself, The Triune Counsel of God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) before the actual process of creation was enacted. Thus, God established the law of unity (oneness) in plurality (See verse 26). Mankind was created one in spirit, plural in nature (male and female) (See verse 27). We must be able to recognize that we were created spiritually first in God, in total oneness with Him, and with each other, yet there was a plurality of nature that God ordained and recognized in assigning us to our place of authority (See verse 28).

Paul picked up on this in Ephesians 2:10, “For we are His workmanship, created in Messiah Yeshua unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them”. Notice in verse 26, as God communed with Himself, He spoke Dominion. Notice in verse 27, that the word spoken became the active agency of creation. In verse 28, we see that the result of the spoken, creative word (voice of God) is our being positioned in our purpose and destiny, which is walking and living in Dominion. Notice the process: (1) God speaks the word, (2) we become one with the word and obey the word, (3) we are blessed by the word and are positioned in purpose and destiny according to that word.

What is Dominion? Mr. Webster defines dominion as: (1) Rule, or power to rule, sovereign authority, or sovereignty. (2) A governed territory or country.

Let’s look at that in the light of our scriptures. God created mankind to rule, gave them the power to rule, gave them sovereign authority to act as a sovereignty, which is total, absolute, supreme authority over an assigned territory, the earth. Man was to govern (rule) the earth in the same manner that God ruled Heaven. First of all, let’s look at verse 26. Man was created in the image of God firstly. Image means to be an imitation of, a representative, a symbol or type of, or a reflection of. It also means to portray. Man was also created in the likeness of God. This means the state or quality of being like or similar, having the same form, the same shape or semblance. It also implies close correspondence in nature or being a picture of. So, we can see that God has determined that man is to look, act, speak and rule like God in the earth realm. Verse 27 tells us that the process took place, and who came forth through the process.

Verse 28 gives us the final results of the process. God spoke a blessing over them. Let’s look at it.

(1) Be fruitful-(a)Bearing much fruit, (b)being productive, prolific (abundant life), (c)producing results, profitable (prosperous),(d)fertile, full of life(non-barren). God’s purposes produces God’s life!(Zoe)

(2) Multiply-(a)To increase in number, amount, or degree, specifically to increase by procreation (Children, offspring, heirs).

(3) Replenish-(a)To make full or complete again, (b) To re-people (repopulate), establish a legacy.

(4) Subdue-(a)To bring into subjection, conquer, vanquish, (b) To till or cultivate land.

(5) Have Dominion!(See previous definition)

The Dominion Mandate contains both the blueprint and the foundation of the Kingdom! The Kingdom has always been the central theme in the heart, mind, and plan of God for His creation (mankind).  Adam, the Father of mankind (also referred to and recognized as the son of God-Luke 3:38) was created to have absolute sovereignty over the earth, while Father God had absolute sovereignty in Heaven. Adam was literally created to be the “god” of this world.

God uniquely fashioned Adam so that he would actually be the expression of both heaven and of earth; in other words, he carried the DNA of both dimensions. He carried the DNA of heaven because his spirit came out of God (Genesis 2:7), and he carried the DNA of the earth because his physical body was created from the dust of the ground (Genesis 2:7). God recognized the essence of Himself so much in His creation, that He turned all of the post creation activity of the oversight of the earth into his hands, as evidenced in Genesis 2:19-20:

“19) And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. 20) And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found a help meet for him”. The man was given absolute sovereignty and total authority (Dominion) over the affairs of the earth. Yet, there was incompleteness there; there was an important missing ingredient in the overall Dominion package.

The Father said in Genesis 1:26-27, (26) “Let us make man in Our image, after Our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” The Father said, “Let Them have Dominion!” Dominion can only be fully activated when operated in plurality! Verse 27 goes on to say, “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.” God created mankind (male and female) in total unity in the spirit within Himself.

When He decided to set them in their place of Dominion (inheritance, the earth), the Father determined that they needed a physical form to live in and operate through. Genesis 2:7, “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life: and man became a living soul.” Verse 8 of this chapter describes and names the place that God set up for man to rule from. 8) “And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there He put the man He had formed.” The rest of the verses in this chapter leading up to verse 21, where we will pick up shortly, go on to give a vivid description of the garden, and an explanation of both the commandments and the assignment concerning the garden given to the man by the Father.

It also tells how the man responded to the assignment given. If you remember, in the creation of man in the realm of spirit (Genesis 1:27), there was male and female man, while in this description of the physical realm, there is only the male man. The female was the missing ingredient in the physical realm, although she was already uniquely a part of the spirit of man because they were both created in the spirit realm simultaneously in unity. God has a solution for the situation. Genesis 2:21-23, (21) “And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and he closed up the flesh instead thereof; (22) And the rib which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her to the man. (23) And Adam said, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” The solution/answer to the incompleteness of Man in the physical realm was the bringing forth of the Woman into the physical realm. Notice that I didn’t say the creation of Woman. She was already alive in the spirit, occupying the same physical tabernacle as the man. Because she was taken out of man and was uniquely one with the man, God reserved the highest place in the life of the man to the woman who was to become his wife, his completion, the ultimate expression of the Dominion Mandate and the revelation of the Kingdom of God.

(24) “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” In order to fulfill the purpose for which he was created, the man must leave the place of familiarity, the place of his nurturing and development, and cleave (become one with) to his wife, the one whom God actually ordained to be instrument of activation that would help him to find and embrace his true identity and purpose. Proverbs 18:22 says, “Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favor of the Lord”. Becoming one with the wife that God ordained for you unlocks a spiritual sensitivity in you and reveals an eternal identity that can only be disclosed and unveiled through the mantling of God’s favor upon your life (your wife).

By operating in this spiritual order, you become authorized by God to become the expression of His life in the earth realm and therefore actually becoming a revelation of the Kingdom of God and depositor of the Glory of God in the earth. Genesis 2:25, “And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.” Because they were completely one, there was nothing hidden, undisclosed, or unexposed between them. Therefore, there was nothing that could hinder them as one, from being the full expression of the Glory of God in the earth. They were literally clothed in Glory! The Dominion Mandate is the foundation upon which the Kingdom of God is to be established and built. The Sons of God are called to establish, enforce and reinforce that mandate!

God created mankind with the Dominion Mandate as a unique and innate part of its spiritual DNA, therefore mankind was created complete and in perfection, male man and female man. There is no true expression of the Kingdom without both aspects of the nature of mankind fully functional and operational, being led by the spirit of God (Romans 8:14). When relating the story of the events which took place in the garden, traditional religion always seems to refer to the story of Adam and Eve, when in actuality, there was no mention of Eve until the entrance of sin. In her perfected state, the female was always referred to as the woman (wombed man), because the Father saw them as one. They were both referred to as Adam because they were created as one in the womb of eternity (Holy Spirit).

The Dominion Mandate therefore releases our spiritual DNA and repurposes us, and re-establishes us in the place of authority that we were actually created in. It was only with the entrance of sin that mankind lost its unique oneness with itself and its creator (God) and was therefore in need of a savior (Genesis 3:15). When you look at Genesis 3:15, you will see that the woman never lost her position or purpose of being the lynchpin or instrument of activation that would help reposition the sons of God into the place of Dominion. The woman, represented by Holy Spirit, the feminine expression of the Godhead, El Shaddai (the all-breasted one, the all nurturing one, the God who is more than enough), is the missing ingredient or voice that is absolutely critically essentially necessary for us to receive the full revelation of and see the manifestation of the Kingdom of God. It was actually the seed of Holy Spirit (Yeshua Hamashiach) that became the instrument of salvation that would re-lay the foundation of the Kingdom in the earth that will allow the sons of God to embrace their true identity and become the expression of the Dominion Mandate and unveil the mantle of true Sonship!
