In the Hebrew calendar, we are in the month of Av. It is the 5th month and is connected to the tribe of Simeon. The name Simeon means to” hear”. Simeon is the 2nd son of Jacob and Leah. 2 can also be linked with covenant, witness, agreement, and union, as in one new man (Jew/Gentile) It is also the number of “the” Son (Yashua), the 2nd person of the Godhead. (Psalms 2:7-8). Leah made a decree at the birth of Simeon, “Because God hath heard that I was unloved, he hath given me this son also”(Genesis 29:33). The Father’s ear is open to the heart cry of his people in this season, but his people must also become keenly sensitive to his voice (Holy Spirit) that we may truly become the oracles that he has ordained us to be. In other words as the sons of God, the Father is expecting us to become his voice in the earth realm.
In Order To Truly Become His Oracle (Voice), It is imperative that we allow Holy Spirit to circumcise both our hearts and our ears and also position us in a place of hearing in order to become ultra sensitive to what Father is saying concerning this particular season.
This is a season of supernatural grace and favor. We must be able to discern by divine insight that there is a redemptive grace (being the 5th month, and 5 being the number of grace), connected to this month. This grace is literally ordained to be a foundational launching pad to position the sons of the Kingdom into the place of embracing the fullness of the promises of the covenant of inheritance.
Av literally means “Father”, or to will, or to desire. It is both the will and desire of the Father for the “sons” to receive and enter into the fullness of the covenant promises of inheritance. We must position ourselves during this month to be able to hear the voice of the Father and to operate from a conscious mindset of total obedience in order to receive the full benefit of the covenant promises of God.
This is the month that God had positioned and purposed for Israel to enter the “Promised Land”, and enter into covenant rest (blessings) (Deuteronomy 28:1-14). This was also the month that God had ordained for the sons Of God (Israel) to walk into their inheritance. Because Simeon was a part of the camp of Reuben (Behold A Son!), (which included Reuben, Simeon, and Gad), there is a continued unfolding of the revelation of the inheritance of “Son-ship”.
It was actually on the 9th of Av that the nation of Israel got into agreement with the “evil report” of the 10 spies, (Numbers 13:31-14:10), and set up a pattern of death and destruction in their lives that caused that particular generation to lose their place of inheritance in God. This pattern of destruction has been documented throughout their history, and will continue until they fully embrace the Lordship of Yashua Ha Machiach (Galatians 3:13-14). This generation died out after a 40 year period of wilderness wandering, never seeing or entering the promise of God.
Even in the midst of this cycle of destruction, we see the redemptive grace that is attached to this month. After the wilderness wandering, and the first generation died out, God ushered the 2nd generation, the “generation of promise”, (the “Son-ship” generation), a people that had become totally unencumbered by their past and submitted unto God, into their place of promise. We must also see ourselves as the “seed of promise” (Psalms 22:30). We are the covenant seed (sons) through Christ (Isaiah 8:18), and heirs according to the promise (Galatians 3:29). As we discern the voice of the “good shepherd” (John 10:4-5) during this month of the” Father”, we receive revelation and guidance down the pathway to inheritance (Son-ship) (Romans 8:14).
This month is also connected to the constellation of Leo (Lion), which is representative of the Kingly rule (Judah) and divine will of the Father (Amos 3:8). It is also the revelation of the roar (sound) of authority that is manifested through the mouths of those that have truly embraced the position of son-ship! It is so vitally important that we allow God to attune and synchronize our hearing to his voice in this season so that we don’t miss our time of “entering in”.
Look at the prophetic picture of your ear. It is shaped like a womb, and your faith is developed (birthed) by hearing the word (voice) of God (Romans 10:17). It is critically important that we allow God to birth within us the desire to become the will of God in demonstration and become the actual testimony of the son (Matthew 7:21, 11:27, John 5:17, 19-27). This will help us to begin to understand who we are called to be, and give us some insight into our inheritance as “sons of glory” (1 Peter 2:9-10). This is the month that God had actually ordained as a celebration of his goodness and also the celebration of receiving our covenant promises. So this is the month that we have to make some critical choices in our lives. Do we hear and obey the voice of the Father, and walk into our place of inheritance as “Sons”, or do we embrace the voice of faithlessness, which gives birth to an “evil report”, and wander aimlessly through a non-ordained wilderness experience and die? (Deuteronomy 30:15-20)
This month is also connected to the Hebrew alphabet Tet, which paints a picture of a womb, and reveals the secrets of the pregnancy of the earth, and gives insight into the manifestation (birthing) of the sons of God (Romans 8:15-19, Galatians 4:4-7). This is not a season of laboring; it is a season of birthing! Tet is also representative of the number 9 which is representative of harvest, fruit of the womb (sons of God), fruitfulness, gifts of the spirit, divine completeness. This is the time and season that God is re-positioning and purposing the sons of the Kingdom with a spirit of expectation and a mentality and determination to receive a full measure of harvest and inheritance.
The inheritance of “Son ship” includes a continual cycle of harvest where we are in perfect alignment and synchronization with the “Father”. There has been a release of the “Fathers’ Heart” and a spirit of “Fathering” to those who have truly embraced the heart of the “Father”(Malachi 4:6).
This is also the month that God has determined that we have a greater discernment of the voices of those that he has placed in our lives in a leadership or “fathering” capacity, and that we get ourselves in proper covenant alignment with those “Fathers”. Blessings! Shalom!
